Does anyone know when the latest version, 26.4, will be released?
Post moved to Pre-Release Discussion which is where questions like this belong.
Additionally, there is no 26.4 so your title was edited.
Please take some time to review the Start here section of our Discourse, which explains among other things the correct numerical formatting for Ubuntu and flavour versions.
Thanks
How do you know it won’t be 26.4? Do you work on Ubuntu? Everywhere, in all the communities and among Ubuntu experts, it’s being said that the upcoming LTS release will be called 26.4 and referred to as Raccoon. On what evidence are you basing this? You’re saying that such a thing won’t happen.
Your wealth of evidence is compelling?

There is a Code of Conduct preventing me from using valid, legal and accurate English language adjectives to describe your statement. So, I will content myself with presenting you with this:

If you do not believe us then you can download Ubuntu 26.04 LTS yourself from here:

There you are. Ubuntu 26.04 LTS at presently under constant development and following the release schedule already provided and available for download.
Over the years I have seen Ubuntu developers and Canonical software engineers refer to Ubuntu releases by the adjective in the name rather than the animal proper name.
Following that practice we are familiar with “Resolute” and not familiar with “Raccoon.”
I know you’re 26.4 and a raccoon, no problem. There are some friends among us who don’t believe it.
