Linux Application Summit - Barcelona

The Linux Application Summit is taking place in Barcelona from 12th to 15th November. Previously known as the “Libre Application Summit” and aligned with the GNOME project, this years event has been organised as a collaboration between both the GNOME and KDE communities.

The Linux App Summit (or LAS for short) aims to to accelerate the growth of the Linux application ecosystem by bringing together everyone involved in creating a great Linux application user experience.

The team have published a Call for Papers, inviting submissions covering Creating, packaging, and distributing applications, Design and usability, Commercialization, Community, Platform and the Linux App Ecosystem.

The team are looking for organisations to sponsor LAS too. The Ubuntu project is proud to be sponsoring this year, via Canonical.

Those individuals aligned with the GNOME or KDE projects who are wishing to travel to Barcelona may request travel sponsorship from their projects. Ubuntu Members may also request travel sponsorship via the community donations fund.

I look forward to seeing some of you there!
